I have always thought about getting one of these and now I wish I had gotten one sooner. The uniqueness of this
type of storage device is the fact that they are small, fast and portable. What more could you ask in a product
of this type? Also, before I go any further, I knew this was going to be a challenging review for me because I
thought from the start that I wouldn't have too much content to provide for a serious review. I will try hard not
to bore you with all the glitz and glamour of this fine product as seen through my eyes.

Features:
- Capacity: 16MB
- Interface: Universal Serial Bus (USB)
- Transfer Speed: 1 MB/S
- Supported Platforms: Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, Mac 8.6, Linux 2.4.

The DiskOnKey is available in storage capacities of 8mb's to 512mb's. It is rated for the maximum USB 1.1 transfer
speed 12Mbits/S. Uploading a full 16mb’s takes roughly 10-13 seconds time. The variance may be because my Windows
computer was being cranky during the review. The size and weight isn’t noticeable at all. The capacity of this one
is lacking, but who’s complaining, I have a bunch of uses for it. Just think about how much of a pain it is to use
floppy’s or what a shame it is to use a CD-R for as little as 2mb’s to transfer files from one place to another. All
you have to do is plug in your brand new trusty DiskOnKey and away you go. If you are using Windows 98/SE then you
will need to go to www.diskonkey.com and download the drivers to make it work.

The first thing you are going to notice after plugging it in and it mounts is that it has software loaded on it. Make
sure you move this stuff to someplace safe. Of course if you just went straight to format you can go to www.diskonkey.com
and download the same software it came with if you need it. As far as the software is concerned I like the security features
that you can enable to keep your data safe. With KeySafe you can keep others from getting into your top secret documents or
just protect a variable amount of a section of your DiskOnKey, like set only 10mb's secure and 6mb's open for anybody as an
example? About the only thing that I don’t like about KeySafe is the fact that it robs almost 1mb and that’s alot considering
that I only have 16mb’s of space to begin with. But, if you have something to hide from others then KeySafe will be for you.

A Special Note:
A special note about using it in Linux, because I tested it there too. The kernel has to be configured to support SCSI generic support,
SCSI Disc, and USB Mass Storage. And then you would just mount it as a regular SCSI disc.

I truly like the DiskOnKey. And I truly appreciate the chance to obtain and review this product. I like the fact that the DiskOnKey
is sturdy, fast, easy to use and has an immeasurable amount of usefulness. The only problem that I can see is the fact that the cost
of one of these may be a little much for some people to afford ($30USD). So one could only think that manufacturing one of these bad
boys must not be cheap. The software that comes with it provides an inexperienced computer user the ability to easily plug-in and use
this device. But, I will also say that more advanced users may also like the software that comes with it, only you can be the judge.
I myself will say that I could highly recommend this fine product to anyone I know. So run on out and buy one if you can. Because you
will use it frequently. I am giving this product a high rating of 4 out of 5 X's, the reason for the 4X is because of the price.
