![]() ![]() ![]() Dwayne Sessom Owner, Founder, Chief Editor. I Started PCExtreme August 19th of 2000 with co-founder Jay Kania. Back then, we mostly did case mods and overclocking articles, and posted news from other sites. It was strictly a hobby and we had lots of fun doing it. Jay and I slowly lost interest and closed the site and put it up for sale in October or 2001. There was a buyer, but they never came through with the money and even opened another copy-cat site which is non existant today. Jay moved back to his home in Florida, and after having the "buyer" steal my ideas and even some graphics, I decided to re-open PCExtreme and make it bigger and better than before. PCExtreme re-opened on May 1st 2002, and this time I decided to start doing hardware reviews as well as case modding and overclocking. This went great until somewhere around October of 2002 when I started getting too many hardware review requests for one guy to handle. This was about the same time I had the idea to have a big PC gaming event called "FragFest 2003". I started scouting for some help and had a couple guys volunteered - James Chapman and Chad Rose. A few months later, Mycol Wahnee came aboard to help with reviews and helped with Fragfest as the tounament server admin. Shortly afterward, Roman Robinson and Rob Hohf started reviewing for PCExtreme after Roman closed his site, PCHardwareMods.com. I invited Skyler Unruh to help with case modding articles and hardware reviews shortly before FragFest 2003, and Clay Graves came aboard to do the same thing immediately after FragFest. At this point, I realized I needed someone with high degree of knowledge to help me manage everything. I was a bit overwhelmed with all I had going, and went to Fragfest with the intent of finding the right person to do the job. John LeVan joined PCExtreme to help me manage the site and other projects I had going. Just not too long ago, we were graced with the presence of one of the best hardware reviewers I know, Cory Zerkee who came to us from Envy News. ![]() Candy Sessom Financial Manager, PCExtreme & ExtremeLAN. Candy is the real boss around here, and keeps Dwayne and the guys under control. She lurks in the forums often, and helps with product reviews as well from time to time. She manages the finincial end of the business, and helps coordinate ExtremeLAN. ![]() John LeVan Assistant Chief Editor, ModLab Manager, MC for ExtremeLAN. My joining PCExtreme was some sort of fluke accident really. I went to help out with the Fragfest 2003 gaming convention and went from "Guy who helps set up tables and donates equiptment" to "Fragfest MC". Since then, joining up with PCEXtreme has been the most fun I have ever had! ![]() Mycol Wahnee Hardware reviewer, Head server Admin for ExtremeLAN. Mycol, know to most as "RocksteR" heads up SOLAN which is our local LAN group which meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month and has an average attendence of 35-40 gamers. Mycol also has the unforgiving job of Head server Admin for ExtremeLAN, and does hardware reviews when he can find the time. ![]() James Chapman Network Admin for ExtremeLAN. James is our kickass Network Admin for ExtremeLAN, and somehow assembles a network for hundreds of computers and servers in just a few hours. Luckily, it only happens once a year. The rest of the time, James admins a local wireless ISP called Southwest Wireless. ![]() Chad Rose Server Admin for ExtremeLAN, and hardware reviewer. Chad is our resident Linux Gawd and Game Server Admin for ExtremeLAN, and also finds time to review hardware as well. Chad also runs Southwest Wireless, and owns Centeral-Servers, the best Online Game Server hosting company around! ![]() David Nelson Forum Admin, and harware reviewer. Besides for Dwayne, David has been with PCExtreme longer than any member of the Extreme Crew, and although the forums aren't exactly grand central station, David keeps doing a wonderful job of Administering them. David is also our European hardware reviewer. ![]() Cory Zerkee News poster, hardware reviewer. I am technician by trade, working for BMW. I started haunting nvNews Forums a couple of years ago and getting more into the PC scene. I then moved to Envy News late 2001 where I started as a news poster and later migrated to reviewing hardware. Then in late 2003, I was invited to join the PCExtreme crew, and that's where I am now. I have a decent knowlege of PC's and can basically tear them down and rebuilt/upgrade them in my sleep. I have some software knowlege, but my hardware knowlege far outweighs it. I am a casual gamer, playing 99% first person shooters, and never really in competition. Other than PC's, cars are my life, my job, my hell, heh. ![]() Melissa Jerome News poster, Graphic Designer. Aha! Behold, I'm a hardcore computer nerd that's female! Gotta love us nerd chicks, right? Anyway - I've been fascinated with technology of any kind since I was old enough to walk. When I was six I started setting up TV's and VCR's and wiring stuff. Hey, it sounds like nothing big but when I was six it was cute! At the age of eleven I started teaching myself how to write HTML and CSS, and now it's my most favorite hobby and also my college major (webmastry). Now I also spend hours at a time on Bryce 5 and Adobe Photoshop 7/CS designing graphics and interfaces for the websites I maintain. What can I say? I love computers. ![]() Warning: main(php/footer.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/pcx4010/public_html/extremecrew.php on line 234 Warning: main(php/footer.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/pcx4010/public_html/extremecrew.php on line 234 Warning: main() [function.include]: Failed opening 'php/footer.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/pcx4010/public_html/extremecrew.php on line 234
