Golden Gate [North] Bridge? Ever had those spur of the moment type things? Ever sit and ponder what you can do with otherwise worthless pc components? Looking at my rusty...err..retired golden orb from ThermalTake, I was wondering if maybe it had an alterior use in life, or better yet in my shiny, new, watercooled rig?

Looking at this artifact I noticed that the clip would be very easily removed. Where to put it, though, was the question. I have seen people beginning to add active cooling to their northbridge, and I thought that proportionally this is just about as active as you can get. Let's take a look at what i saw:

Look at this measly passive heatsink, could this possibly be effective? I think not.
Now I didn't have any thermal epoxy, but from what I was to underatand all thermal epoxy is is just some thermal grease mixed with a special epoxy. I grabbed the next best things, some regualr epoxy and some Arctic Silver II. I wasnt about to mix them together and have some crazy chemical reaction destroy my rig, bad enough there is already water in there, so here is what I did.

Lay down some ASII, then put 4 tiny beads of epoxy on the corners.
