The Specifications:

The Case: ![]() Not bad looking at all I didn’t think. The bluish hue that you see coming from the front of the case are plastic covers on existing beige covers. It does make them look a heck of a lot better. They do package plain covers I guess to match the drives or to change the look. ![]() And costing around $60USD this doesn’t seem to be a bad deal. I also noticed that there was two tri-colored CCFL’s and a tri-colored LED fan included along with this case. I have since found out that these items are not included with the case when you order it and guess what, neither is the window. These things have to be ordered separately and you can get them from Newegg.com which is Maxtop’s main distributor. The case itself with PSU and no side window will cost you about $55. ![]() The case side cover with a pre-installed window and an 80mm fan will run you about $16USD, the tri-color CCFL’s will run you $19.99USD each and the tri-color fan would cost you about $6USD each. What is included is a 350 watt PSU and a 80mm fan mounted in a blowhole in the top of the case. That you will see here in a second. The case has four spots reserved for additional 80mm fans.
![]() The front two 80mm slots are placed directly in front of your harddrive cage to help cool them. I found that there is plenty of room left once you do have fans in there so you don’t have to worry about working around them to get your drives installed. Believe me I have seen that in other cases. ![]() ![]() I sort of liked the power and reset design and location also. It is simple, elegant and easy to distinguish. ![]() Well once I opened the case up I did like how roomy it was inside. I could tell it wasn’t going to be hard for me to get everything installed that I needed to fit into it. The other noticeable thing is that there aren’t many sharp or pointed edges inside this case so if you get one don’t worry about having that bottle of antiseptic and band aids handy. ![]() That 80mm blowhole I was telling you about earlier, here it is: ![]() As you see it is situated right behind the PSU to not interfere with the mounting of a CD-ROM drive. Which I found out later that wasn’t the issue because I have about 3+ inches of space between it and the CD-ROM which means to me they could have placed it a little further away or centered it better. ![]() One little thing I forgot to make mention of is the convenient location of the front audio and USB ports. Right up front where they belong behind a nice fold down cover. ![]() And how did I forget this. This meets the criteria I look for in a case when developing my purchase plans. The motherboard tray ‘should’ be removable. I mean how much easier can it get when you can just drop the tray out, mount the motherboard, and put it back in? ![]() | ||||||||
