Using Vista Search
On Using Vista Search, use it to your advantage by searching files by the time they were last modified. Usually If you’re thinking that you have computer slowing down due to unwanted malwares or spywares, now with this simple method you can find out what files are being modified.
The simplest method that doesn’t require you to install any additional software is to use Vista Search panel
- Press Window Key + E to open up your Windows Explorer
- Click on Advanced Search
- Change the location to your C: drive or whichever drive you are trying to check
- set the Date modified to today
- check the box for “Include non-indexed, hidden, and system files” and press the search button
Make sure your Date Modified Column is showing up on your Windows Explorer or Vista Search if you need to let it show, right-click on the column area, and check the Date Modified box.
Then sort by Date Modified to see all the recently changed files. and You’re done that should give you a decent insight on your file system and those who have been recently changed.
