Introduction:
Today we will be reviewing the Z-case from ExtremeCase.com also known as the Raidmax Scorpio 868W. This case features an attractive yellow color, and came with a yellow CCFL to match. The smooth sides and great design surprised me when I opened this because I am used to a plain black case. I am not used to the more modern pre-modded cases and many of the things that were built in amazed me.

The Z-case arrived through UPS, and was packaged well. It had no dents in the packaging, though there were a good deal of minor scratches on the window. Damn scratches, is there anyway to protect the Acrylic window? When I first saw it on the site I thought "Crap this case looks wimpy as hell" but I was very wrong. It seems that Raidmax has picked up a professional edge to the cases they make. The paint and lighting effects were just off the hook.
The case looks very nice and has a good deal of room for all your hardware. It sports four 5.25” bays and two 3.25” bays. I was very impressed with the side of the case. The design is very attractive and the included 80mm fan was a welcome feature, although there were a few scratches that aren’t really that noticeable unless at certain angles and lighting. The 80mm intake fan in the middle of the case has a nice looking metallic grill. Three LED lights mix to make a nice effect. The front grill is very sturdy and adds dramatically to the look of the side of the case. This case would be very nice at lan parties because of the light weight and eye catching looks.

The yellow cold cathode that came with the case was pretty sweet (which was courtesy of Sunbeam). Though the yellow color isn’t really as yellow as I thought it would be the light complements the case nicely none the less. The inverter was included. The door on the front of the case was impressive. The brightly lit blue emblem was eye candy when the lights are off or even while they are on. The two red lights above and below the blue lit emblem show hard drive activity and are a really awesome effect. The design of the front was very impressive and stood to its title as the Z-case. The lighting is a reason to buy this case alone.
