In the past, Sunbeam's power inverters were just a PCB wrapped in a velcro cover. These days they have evolved and gotten a nice hard plastic covering with ventilation holes. Each power inverter has dual outputs to support two CCFL's. The plugs have been designed so you can easily and quickly connect and disconnect your lights. This is a very nice feature if you frequently move or change CCFL's.
Here is the installed rocker switch that turns the power on and off to the CCFL's. It was really easy to install using the plastic template and a little Dremel action.
This little jewel is really the star of today's review. It is the sound activation module that can control up to four cathodes. Again Sunbeam has done an outstaning job in designing this piece of the kit. It is easy to hook up, is clearly labled and looks nice to boot. There are a total of four settings: Off, On, Sound Control, and Flash. The Off and On functions are self explanitory. The Sound Control has adjustable sensitivity so you can set the sound level you want the lights to react to. The Flash function lets you set your CCFLs to flash on 1 second intervals, and 2 power inverters, you can have them alternate. Pretty cool, huh?

Conclusion:
Well if you couldn't tell, I am extremely impressed with these CCFL's. Sunbeam's products continue to get better and better, no doubt due to the fact that they actually listen to their customers suggestions. These are the second batch of Cold Cathode Florescent Lamps that I have had the pleasure of reviewing from Sunbeam Tech. and I am even more impressed than I was the first time around. They simply spank the competition in all aspects, so it's safe to say that Sunbeam CCFL's are the best on the market, period. If you have never had a CCFL, and are considering adding a few to spruce your rig up then don't waste your time with other brands. Sunbeam knows their stuff, and it shows. This is an outstanding product, far beyond my expectations and is well deserved of our best rating - 5 X's!
