Disable Autoplay for Windows XP
Disable Autoplay of Audio CDs and USB Drives for Windows XP because of the annoying feeling I get Everytime I insert CD’s on my Laptop on my Windows XP box. I just want it to run when I want it to run not to “autorun” so here’s how you do it
- go to Start Menu
- go to Run
- and type gpedit.msc
After Typing gpedit.msc you will see the Group Policy window. Go to Administrative Templates -> System in the tree view now look on the right side and “turn off autoplay”. Double click on the item, to change and “Turn off Autoplay on” to All Drives. It’s your choice if you want all drives.
